It Took Seconds

Every day a song is posted, one second shorter than yesterday's. A tumblr by Tom Ewing.

Five minutes and thirty-three seconds: One of my default “must share this” tracks so if you’ve known me online for any length of time you have “Where’s Your Child” by Bam Bam already. Utterly malicious late 80s house music with a bogeyman vocalist revelling in parental worry and anguish (and indeed revelling in trying to scare the fuck out of anyone on the floor hearing it in a ‘delicate state’).

A lesson to those in the media who would finger-wag at music scenes: the reaction will most likely not involve reform, but instead an exaggerated pride-taking in exactly the stuff that pisses you off.

What would your 5’33” track have been?
